The west central Brazil is an area that can be divided into two parts:
The Planalto, formed of savannah area, with a well defined climate in 2 periods, rain and drought, and width the "Mato-grosso-goiano", lowlands from which come the sources of the Tocantins and Araguaia rivers. The village of Pirenópolis is at the limit of these reliefs. The village lies at the foot of Pireneus, part of the division of planalto.

The leaves are green, small, opposite and crossed stacked along the branches, rigid and showing small bumps on the leaf margins. The inflorescence appears at the top of the twigs and flowers are pinkish-purple.
