The west central Brazil is an area that can be divided into two parts:
The Planalto, formed of savannah area, with a well defined climate in 2 periods, rain and drought, and width the "Mato-grosso-goiano", lowlands from which come the sources of the Tocantins and Araguaia rivers. The village of Pirenópolis is at the limit of these reliefs. The village lies at the foot of Pireneus, part of the division of planalto.

Habitat : The cerrado Description : Small shrub that can reach 1.5 m to 2 m in height with alternate leaves, ovate, with a petiole and light-colored short on the top and dark face on the underside. The flowers appear at the tip of the twig or opposed leaves. the chalice is beige, button color is yellow to become red when the flower blooms, and becomes yellow in the end stage. The pistil grows late and long about 5 10 cm.
