- Horizons or stacked layers -
These photos were taken in Park of Pirenópolis in the State of Goiás.
The horizons appear well defined, different, according to the region of the country. Brazil has soils showing a particular type, proved in surface layers, separated by few changed rocks, which prevented a good fixing upon upper rug, then, when heavy rains happen, land sliding appears. First photo shows several layers or horizons that compose the profile, and the second, after land sliding, with the output of a source or hidden water source, that appeared (because of excessive rain).
Areas with strong risk of soil sliding in the globe. As we can see, this subject is part of the daily life of Brazilian local news; this phenomenon is frequent during rainy season.
